Hi I’m May, a People and Culture Manager at ZALORA, and I’d like to share my journey and experiences here.
At ZALORA, my role involves seeking new possibilities and opportunities to build a great experience for potential candidates and employees in ZALORA. It has a lot to do with identifying and understanding who we are as a whole, and translating that into our actions and communications as a company. To me, employer branding is very much an art and science; it involves analyzing data and listening to people to get crucial insights right.
In the People and Culture team, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with various teams in company-wide projects, including the Corporate Communications, Revenue, Marketing, Tech, and the Production teams from all over Southeast Asia. Through these projects, I’ve found that Zalorians are very supportive of each other and are always ready to extend a helping hand.
ZALORA is also highly supportive of its Zalorians, where it provides us the space and resources to grow so that we can achieve whatever we want as long as we put our minds to it. The company also provides us with flexible hybrid work options, and trusts us to work in spaces we feel most productive, while creating an environment where camaraderie can be fostered whenever we have our face-to-face interactions.
