What are your interests and passions?
I'm passionate about identifying gaps and working with teams to come up with effective solutions. In my personal time, I also enjoy playing volleyball and baking with friends!
What does a day in life at ZALORA entail?
A typical day at ZALORA begins with clearing daily ad hoc tasks, followed by a lunch break with the loveliest colleagues! The afternoon often involves team and brand meetings, along with additional tasks on hand.
How do you find meaning and fulfillment in your work?
I often find myself feeling fulfilled when I step outside my comfort zone and embrace growth. This takes the proactiveness to ask for additional tasks and projects, and express interest in learning new things!
What do you like most about being part of the team at ZALORA?
The People! Ever since Day 1, the ZALORA Advertising Platform (ZAP) team never failed to make me feel welcomed and supported at ZALORA. They’re the perfect mix of working hard and having fun. With them around, work never felt like work!
How would you describe the work environment of ZALORA?
The work environment of ZALORA is generally very welcoming and friendly! Even across departments, everyone is always ready to lend you a helping hand :)
How does ZALORA provide flexibility in your work?
ZALORA offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing me to work from home some days and from the office on others. This was incredibly helpful as it helped me to manage my studies better, alongside my internship.
Has ZALORA provided you with opportunities and supported you in the knowledge of the world of work?
Yes! As an intern here, I was never treated as “just an intern”, my manager and mentor gave me many opportunities to lead projects, allowing me to gain deeper insight into the Ecommerce world
What did you learn from your time in ZALORA?
I learnt that so much more goes into the behind the scenes of running campaigns. I learnt how to communicate effectively across diverse teams and gained insights into campaign and ad management. I also developed skills in utilizing data visualization to extract valuable insights from relevant ad metrics.
How did you find out about the internship at ZALORA?
I was scrolling through Linkedin and came across an internship feature done by a previous intern here at ZALORA!
What motivated you to apply to ZALORA?
After reading the internship feature and seeing how much the interns enjoyed their time, I was motivated to apply, especially with my interest in e-commerce.
What is a memorable experience you’ve had at ZALORA?
A memorable experience was our company visit to Meta’s office, where we explored their innovative workspace and got a taste of their company culture! I also loved the CNY volunteering session we had where we got to give out goodie bags to families in need!
What advice would you give to a new intern in ZALORA?
Don't be afraid to stumble or make mistakes, that's how we learn and grow. Everyone starts somewhere, and it's the questions you ask and the effort you put in that help you rise higher. ANDDDDD without a doubt, the team is here to help you succeed! You'll have an amazing time here!
