As a Senior Creative Producer, I liaise with production houses and agencies about our never-ending campaigns, ie: Zalora Birthday, Zalora Big Fashion Sale, 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12 Sales. I plan and organize small campaigns like our luxury and festive shoots for Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, and Christmas.

My job scope also includes overseeing the pre-production: making sure that the shoot fits within our budget (which is super important), and setting deliverable sheets and guidelines for our external stakeholders. During production, I will be on the ground to ensure that the shoot runs smoothly and that we shoot all the footage and still images that were discussed during pre-production. Once the shoot is over, I will check the videos that we shot are as per what has been shared to the agencies/production houses in the deliverables sheet and that they meet the standard and guidelines. Basically I will QC and ensure that the assets are all in-line with what internal stakeholders expect.

The ZALORA Values are definitely prominent in the work I do. When we create our assets, we always have to think outside the box: How can we optimize the assets? How can we do better than the previous campaign? How do we make it look even better? Our Limitless Mindset reminds us to be creative and innovative. The assets that we make, especially the films, have to WOW our customers. Not just the customers but also Zalorians - we all have high standards and expectations. I can’t take all the credit for the work, #OneTeamOneDream is a value I hold close to the work I do. I have a team of like-minded and highly creative people that I truly enjoy working with. We are all very close and share the same dream - to create the best assets Zalora can ever create to beat our competitors :P

I started off as an intern in 2019, and in 2023 I am now a Senior Executive and that is because I had a manager who always gave me opportunities to shine in my work. She trusted me and saw my potential. She also guided me along the way and never put me down even when I made mistakes. I’ve stayed at ZALORA over the years because I feel like I truly have the potential to grow here. I also really like most of my colleagues. They are really cool! I’m also always trying to be better than before, there’s always room for improvement and I find the most meaning and fulfillment in that. I get the chance to travel for shoots, meet new people and explore new places. I enjoy every second of it.

The people and culture here also make it fun! My team makes my days go by faster, and we always have fun together, even during stressful situations while we are on set during a shoot - we always find a way to lighten the mood.

At ZALORA, we get mental health days and also occasion days which are great for those of us who may be struggling - but we also have a good hybrid working environment. We don’t need to go into the office everyday which helps. We don’t have to go through the crazy Malaysian traffic! This definitely provides flexibility and ensures better work-life balance for us, which is just another reason I enjoy my job and love working here at ZALORA.
