Hi I’m Larry, an Operational Excellence Senior Executive in ZALORA Philippines!
Prior to joining ZALORA, I was working in a Beverage company’s Engineering department. It was around that time, I obtained my Lean Six Sigma certification and was inspired to pursue a career in Operational Excellence instead.
Though I did not have extensive experience in the area, I was fortunate enough to have applied to ZALORA, a company that values people and sees potential in each individual. This culture of putting people first can be seen in all parts of the company. There are many opportunities for growth and improvement, including developmental programs like Kaizen programs, Jedi Programs, and Process Confirmation programs, just to name a few.
My line managers and colleagues have also been very supportive of my development. They are extremely helpful and are willing to teach me if I encounter anything new and unfamiliar! The team has also been very supportive of my personal growth, they are very warm and welcoming, and even encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone to overcome my fear of talking to new people! My line manager even has a 1-on-1 with me every week, to check in on my progress since I am new to the role.
Everyone in ZALORA embodies the “Limitless Mindset” we always talk about, by pushing boundaries to improve on how we do things. To us, no inputs are wrong! All ideas are very much welcome and the team believes that it can be used, if not now but in the next project or event!
Beyond development, I love how ZALORA takes care of the wellbeing of its employees. Not only does it give mental health leaves if you feel overwhelmed by the tasks at hand, it provides hybrid working opportunities too! With 4 days WFH and 1 day RTO, if this isn't flexibility, I don’t know what is!
