Heya, Alicia here! I was a Brand Management Intern and this is my story working in ZALORA Malaysia!

Why did you choose to join ZALORA?

I’m passionate about all things fashion and have an interest in exploring and discovering new trends in the fashion and social platform (e-commerce) industries!

Where else but ZALORA to nurture my passions! It was a clear and natural choice!

What does a day in life at ZALORA entail?

During my internship, I had the opportunity to coordinate with international brands, and managed to create many meaningful relationships with them. My role also involved creating thematic campaigns for international brands on the ZALORA platform! 

It was challenging but loads of fun working closely with people from all over the fashion industry, I managed to grow and develop personally and professionally while making a positive impact through work.

What do you like most about being part of the team at ZALORA?

ZALORA has an incredibly collaborative environment that fosters creativity and teamwork. My teammates and colleagues were very helpful and were willing to teach me new things whenever I needed guidance! I was grateful to have had a supportive team and was mentored by experienced professionals from all over the company!

The culture at ZALORA also places emphasis on creativity and growth through diverse experiences and challenges. I got the opportunity to work on various innovative projects that shape the e-commerce industry!

It was an invaluable experience that allowed me to really apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to a real-life work setting!

How does ZALORA provide flexibility in your work?

ZALORA has a very flexible working environment with hybrid working options. For me, this meant a 4 day work from home arrangement with flexible working hours. Many Zalorians embrace this remote working setup and can even work more productively in places and times that work best for them!

What did you learn from your time in ZALORA?

I developed industry-specific skills in e-commerce, and improved both soft and hard skills!
This included teamwork, time management, problem solving, and collaboration abilities.\
